Grown primarily in Piedmont, Brachetto is a well-respected wine grape in Italy, but one that unfortunately has little success outside of the country. It is most often used in blending, but can be good on its own. Brachetto wine is very light-bodied with a strawberry aroma and flavor. It is often used for sparkling wines, such as Asti.
